Find something nearby.
A cup, a leaf, a familiar key. Choose something you can comfortably look at, touch, or describe from memory.
We will look at what is there, imagine what it could mean, then bring the two back together.

What is actually here?
Notice three details: an edge, a texture, a weight, a sound. Stay with what you can directly observe before deciding what it means.
Use whichever senses are comfortable for you. An imagined or remembered object works too.
