Chamber 04 · Reproducible Tools & Sovereignty

The Workshop

Assembly & Repair is where symbolic objects become reproducible tools. The rule is simple: a useful artifact should return agency to its maker.

Assembly Line 01

The Three-Part Relic Test

  1. Signal: What does the object help someone notice? (Does it clarify direct perception or merely generate spectacle?)
  2. System: Can another maker reproduce or adapt it? (Is the architecture documented with inspectable seams?)
  3. Sovereignty: Does it reduce dependence on the person selling it? (Does it grant real, independent capability to the user?)
"If the tool requires your mystique to keep working, the tool is not finished."
