ROOM 01
TWELVE ROOMS
Every morning, the School of Many Rooms sailed down to Moonstep
Plaza as one bright building.
But on the morning Tala came with her cobalt satchel, twelve rooms
arrived separately. Their doors faced clouds, chimneys, and one
another - but none faced a floor.

ROOM 02
THE COBALT SATCHEL
Tala opened her hexagonal satchel. Inside were no pencils, answers,
or instructions.
There was only a folded strip of blue cloth. She fastened one end to
the plaza and let the other catch the wind. It became the first narrow
bridge.

ROOM 03
THE MAP ROOM
The Map Room spun above her, showing twelve golden routes and no
single beginning.
Tala stopped searching for the correct first step. She chose the
nearest open door, and one golden route steadied beneath her boots.

ROOM 04
THE MUSIC ROOM
In the Music Room, silver strings stretched across an empty floor.
Each note pulled a different room closer.
Tala played no grand song. She tapped a small, patient rhythm. The
rooms answered, one after another, until their windows faced the
same beat.

ROOM 05
GARDEN + WATER
The Garden Room had roots curled tightly inside glass bowls. Across
the gap, the Water Room held a blue rain cloud.
Tala tied one green root to her cloth bridge. It grew toward the cloud,
carrying water back and making a living path between the rooms.

ROOM 06
THE NUMBER ROOM
The Number Room offered stairs of unequal height: one short, two
tall, three short, two tall.
Tala noticed the pattern before she noticed the problem. She repeated
it across the air, and the final step landed exactly at the Workshop
door.

ROOM 07
THE PICTURE ROOM
The Picture Room spoke without a single word. Sun, hand, cup, seed,
and doorway glowed across its walls.
Tala moved the pictures into a new order. A bright story crossed the
gap, and the Word Room opened to see what it might say.

ROOM 08
THE QUIET ROOM
The Quiet Room looked empty. Tala almost hurried past it.
Then she heard the faint pull of every bridge: cloth, music, root, stair,
and light. In the quiet, she learned which connection needed
gentleness and which needed room.

ROOM 09
THE TABLE BRIDGE
At midday, the Round Table Room floated too far away for any small
bridge.
Tala released its twelve hinged leaves. They unfolded across the air
into one long table, with a place for every room and an empty place
for whoever came next.

ROOM 10
THE HIGH WIND
A high wind swept over Moonstep Plaza. The separate rooms tugged
in twelve different directions.
Tala did not hold them alone. Cloth held root. Root held stair. Stair
held table. Music kept their pulling in time until the wind moved on.

ROOM 11
THE OPEN BRIDGE
By afternoon, eleven bridges joined the twelve rooms into one shining
school.
Tala could have closed the last gap. Instead, she left one cobalt bridge
open to the sky. "A school should always have a way for a new room to
arrive," she said.

ROOM 12
A SCHOOL THAT LEARNS
At sunset, the School of Many Rooms sailed upward, connected but
never locked.
Tala's satchel was still empty of answers. It was full of better things: a
rhythm, a root, a pattern, a picture, a quiet, and room for tomorrow.
