In May 2007, preservationists lifted the 1883 William S. Ladd Carriage House onto hydraulic dollies and rolled it four blocks down SW Broadway to save it from demolition. From 2012 to 2021, Chef/Partner Dave Shenaut's Raven & Rose and upstairs hayloft apothecary lounge The Rookery Bar filled its Queen Anne rafters with brick-oven Yorkshire pudding, Irish bangers & colcannon, cask ale, and The Bird is the Word.
