Where a 55-gallon warehouse tote of mixed interlocking bricks becomes a mechanical engineering laboratory, a cooperative Great Ball Contraption (GBC) relay, and backlit cathedral stained glass.
Ardentilaterum — Illuminated Stained-Glass Mosaic & Lantern Studio
Build cathedral-grade backlit windows and freestanding below-5V LED shrine lanterns using 100% catalog-confirmed translucent tiles (98138), plates (3024), gems (30153), and crystals (30385).
The Wheel of Light — World Solstice, Harvest & Festival Almanac
A perennial family and homeschool curriculum uniting axial obliquity (23.44°), solar gnomons, Snell’s Law prism optics, Eulerian Kolam graph theory, Fibonacci conifer botany, and eight world traditions of light.
Because modular Technic gears use a metric module of m = 1.0 mm (pitch diameter in millimeters equals tooth count N) and beam holes sit on an 8.0 mm (1-stud) grid, the exact center-to-center spacing in studs between two meshing gears is C = (N₁ + N₂) / 16. Test any driver, driven gear, and stage count below:

Four Signature Collection Totes & Hybrid Machine Synthesis
Sorting a massive mixed brick collection by color hides geometry; sorting by mechanical and optical function (Rotational Kinematics, Linkages, SNOT Inversion, Translucent Optics, and GBC Ball Transport) unlocks immediate invention. Select a signature tote preset below to inspect its vintage set lineage and synthesized hybrid machines:
Every blueprint in the Ardentilaterum studio is validated via BRICK_MOC/tools/validate_bom.py against the Rebrickable historical inventory catalog with status COMBINATION_CONFIRMED (zero unverified part+color pairs). Matte-black plates (3024 / 3022) and pearl-gold accents (98138 Color 297) form high-contrast structural leading around translucent polycarbonate cells.
Freestanding shrine lanterns follow the L00–L80 submodel architecture: a load-bearing matte-black frame (L30), removable jumper-retained roof (L60), and an isolated below-5V dry USB LED diffuser cassette (L20) spaced 20 mm behind the mosaic face for uniform Lambertian glow.

The Beholder’s Prism Eye
Concentric emerald iris, cyan diamond ring, and ruby/violet outer rays framed in matte-black and pearl-gold leading.
The Crystal Cavern Great Ball Contraption (GBC) Standard
Our flagship multi-table planning architecture organizes a 22-module, three-tier crystalline diorama around a frozen 48×48 stud modular footprint contract: left-side input hopper (≤10×10 studs, ≤10 bricks high), right-side discharge chute (≥11 bricks high), average throughput of 1.0 ball/second (30-ball max batch), and 100% dry separation between Powered Up / SPIKE electronics and any optional sealed water basin.
